Everything you need to know about bank transfer withdrawals at tombola — how they work, how to set them up, and what to do if something doesn't quite go to plan.

When do bank transfers happen?

Bank transfers kick in automatically whenever a card withdrawal can't go through. This might be because your bank declined the transaction, or your card details are out of date. Don't worry — if we need your bank details instead, we'll let you know by email, twice, so you won't miss it.

How do I add my bank details?

It's quick and easy. Just follow the link in the emails we send when a card withdrawal fails — it takes you straight to the right page

You'll need your sort code and account number to hand. We verify these through our payment provider, so double-check they're spot on — once you've submitted them, they can't be changed.

What happens next?

Your details will be sent off for processing. Once they're verified, we'll pop a confirmation into your inbox. You'll also get this email if you've added your bank details before and, for any reason, a card withdrawal doesn't go through again.

What if my bank details don't work?

Don't worry — we can still get your funds to you by cheque, sent to the address registered on your account check personal details page. Just make sure your address is up to date so it reaches you safely.
